Street Feast is a national day of local lunches that aims to celebrate local communities while providing an excuse to eat good food. It is being hosted by communities all over Ireland. Cork Food Policy Council has decided to get on board this year to promote participation among Cork’s communities and neighbourhoods. With growing concerns for increasing isolation and loss of a sense of community, Street Feast aims to bring neighbours together again to celebrate their community and enjoy some good food. So why not organise a Street Feast in your area for Sunday 15th June 2014 and re-build the sense of community in your area. Street Feasts are easy to organise they can be for small groups or if you’re feeling ambitious why not go all out and host a street party.
