Aoife Ni Chonchuir
Aoife works as a Health Promotion Officer, Health Promotion and Improvement Department HSE with Cork Healthy Cities and is responsible for the co-ordination of the Psyched initiative; an inter-agency workplace mental health promotion partnership. Working at inter-agency level, Aoife has more than twenty years’ experience of public health advocacy as well as the crucial skills to interpret and implement national health promotion policy priorities using evidence based approaches to improve the health and wellbeing of the population. Aoife has excellent practical health promotion skills including; co-ordination; research; group facilitation; presentation; resource development and budget management. With a background in the social sciences Aoife has a firm commitment to equity and social justice in policy and practice and specialises in the areas of urban health, mental health promotion, alcohol policy, men’s health and early intervention.
