The NICHE Knocknaheeny/Hollyhill Community Garden will run from Tuesday December 4th to Friday 7th of December from 5.30 to 8.00 p.m. each evening.

The aim of the winter garden is to highlight that Christmas can be special with some imagination and not involve lots of money. This is NICHE’s fourth winter garden and this year the theme of the occasion is the contrast between the old and the new.

On the one hand we have a famous fairy tale and on the other hand we have a bestselling modern classic. All will be revealed on entry. This is arranged in the context of old recycled materials from Christmas gardens past and the new which is added every year to create new experiences.

Constructed by the staff of NICHE and volunteers, the garden showcases all that is creative in the community. With raffles over the four nights, hot chocolate, cookies and Santa himself, this is a great free family community event that we hope all ages will enjoy.

As this is an outdoors event, bring your wellies and wrap up well. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Notes: It is anticipated that a dignitary will open the winter garden on Tuesday December 4th.
