Summit of Mayors
Cork Healthy Cities City recently hosted a productive planning meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25–26, in preparation for the upcoming Summit of Mayors, scheduled for October 5–6, 2026.
The sessions, warmly welcomed by Lord Mayor Cllr Fergal Dennehy and Chief Executive of Cork City Council Ms Valerie O’Sullivan, brought together key stakeholders, including Ms Kira Fortune from WHO Europe, Mr Muiris O’Connor and Greg Straton from the Department of Health, alongside representatives from Cork City Council. The meeting focused on coordinating the agenda, logistics, and strategic priorities for the summit.
