Wellbeing in Education

SCHOOLS

Schools play a key role in developing and enhancing young people’s wellbeing.  The HSE Health Promotion & Improvement Department, through the HSE Education Programme, supports teachers to promote wellbeing in schools.

The promotion of wellbeing is central to the Government’s mission to enable children and young people to achieve their full potential. Promoting the wellbeing of our children and young people is a shared community responsibility and is everybody’s business.

We offer training on various programmes and resources which support teachers in promoting wellbeing in their school, at both primary and post-primary level.  There are also a range of trusted information resources for the school community.

This page provides access to a wide range of wellbeing information and supports for schools, students and parents. Click on coloured text below to link out to resources.
